An Unexpected Intersection

It was a simple rental request for a beach property. That’s all. At least that is what I thought.

I typed in the dates I needed the rental and indicated all the specifics by clicking in the boxes. My fingertips ran across the tracking pad of the computer as my eyes scanned the 44 matches. Too much. Too big. Too old. I felt a little like Goldilocks in the bear’s house. Nothing seemed just right, then my eyes stopped on the words remodeled.

I clicked the link. After viewing the pictures I sent the quote request. What happened next was a divine intersection between two random people.

Her response was quick with the quote I expected. A nudging lead me to give an explanation for our trip and ask if she offered discounts to those in ministry. She told me she had never been asked but would gladly take off $100. Her message closed with, I’ll let you keep me in your prayers as I start chemo Monday for breast cancer. I’m stage 1 no nodes but the rare triple negative is why the chemo then radiation I should do well but love all prayers.

Two lives divinely intersected.

I was overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by her generosity and by the opportunity that God randomly placed before me. I probably will never meet Margie face-to-face but we will forever be connected heart-to-heart. God intersects lives to connect hearts.

I am not an expert on prayer. I am just a woman who prays. That’s all.
